This Review of Garmin 2350LMT Black Friday Deal : No where within the item description did it say the item was anything however new. The box it came in said it was refurbished. I live in Alaska and that we are moving to Europe however before moving to Europe we were driving through Canada so this unit with the maps preloaded was very important to us. Once we tend to got it, after having to own it shipped to the CA then mailed to us since they do not mail this to Alaska, it was too late to return it before our trip. I felt dupped. I wasn’t searching for a unit based mostly on worth. i was searching for one based on quality and dependability and granted a refurbished unit may offer all of that however based on the costs I saw in other places this was not that abundant of a reduction comparatively. My main gripe is that I did not know I wasn’t obtaining a new unit so the selection was taken from me. i might have paid more for a non-defective unit that did not have any know issues that had to be mounted. i do know that that wouldn’t are a guarantee that a new unit couldn’t or wouldn’t have issues.
Complaint of the refurb aside it was ninety fifth accurate. it was slow in correcting itself when the roads change. The routes did not invariably seem to point out us the simplest possible route. sometimes it looked like it showed the longest routes via highways. This was evidenced by after we traveled through areas we were conversant in once we reached California and knew of shorter routes that took country roads rather than highways. The GPS system within the Hertz rental we tend to had did a much better job of such routes than this GPS.
I can’t wait to check the performance once we tend to hit Europe and see how it works there where i really think it will be most critial and the real reason we tend to bought it!
